Denmark, ranked the second happiest country in the world according to the UN’s World Happiness Report, one of the most economically and socially developed countries in Europe, with a grand supply of FERMAT horizontal boring mills, provided an excellent opportunity to call on current customers, meet with dealers, and explore many interesting commercial opportunities.
In early March 2019, Mr. Jan Ferenc and Ms. Irena Dvorakova, FERMAT’s sales team for Denmark, visited one very happy customer indeed, HMF, “one of the world’s leading suppliers of truck-mounted loader cranes,” located in Højbjerg, Denmark. As stated on its website, “the company has established itself as an international player with a worldwide distribution network and regular customers in more than 50 countries.” HMF “develops, manufactures and markets state-of-the-art truck-mounted loader cranes” utilizing the latest technology and innovative solutions, expert craftsmanship, and the best machine tools on the market. Among these is their recent acquisition, FERMAT’s table-type horizontal boring mill WFT 11 CNC, sporting a spindle diameter of 110 mm and spindle travel of 730 mm. With an X axis of 3 meters, Y of 1.7 meters, and Z of 1.25 meters, and a CNC rotary table (1.4 x 1.8 meters), it’s ideal for powerful and precise machining of small-to-medium size workpieces weighing up to 10 metric tons.
Thanks to WFT 11 CNC’s superb design and rugged build, powerful headstock and extremely precise components, combined with a KUKA robot tool changer (105 tools) reducing downtime, HMF’s highly-skilled CNC machinists keep the chips flying, staying in line with even the most demanding production schedule.
As Mr. Ferenc and Ms. Dvorakova were pleased to learn, HMF is quite happy with the outstanding performance of its FERMAT WFT 11 CNC, and its hardworking staff maintains the machine in perfect condition.
FERMAT’s local machine tool dealer, Maskingruppen, assisted greatly in facilitating the sale.
