Swiss Alps passed by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry as he took a helicopter flight from Davos, Switzerland to Zurich on Jan. 25, 2014. FERMAT’s Jan Ferenc can be seen hiking through snowdrifts, determined to visit manufacturing facilities hidden away in a secret mountain redoubt seeking state-of-the-art horizontal boring mills and accessories, as well as local dealers. Mr. Ferenc decided to repeat his trip in better weather.

Trekking across snow-capped mountains and Alpine meadows, FERMAT’s Director of Sales, Mr. Jan Ferenc, recently visited the Swiss town of Monchaltorf to meet the owner of one of the most successful machine tool dealerships in the land, Mr. Stefan Deak.

In early August 2016, after enjoying platefuls of exquisite local delicacies, rich Swiss chocolates your diet forbids and mouth-watering, finely-crafted, luxurious cheeses, Mr. Ferenc sat down at the negotiating table and hammered out a business deal mutually beneficial to both FERMAT and REIMMANN AG, a leading machine tool dealer in the Alpine region.  Under the agreement, REIMMANN is FERMAT’s exclusive representative for the sale of its horizontal boring mills and accessories in Switzerland and Lichtenstein.

REIMMANN ranks among the 6 largest machine tool sellers in the region and focuses on prestigious brands and producers.  The company, headquartered in the quaint municipality of Monchaltorf, not far from Zurich, was founded in 1945 and today employs over 30 workers dedicated to its strong reputation for excellence in business.

With an emphasis on selling the very best machine tools and providing top-notch, high-quality service to its customers, REIMMANN is a natural match for FERMAT which shares the same goal of offering the perfect solution to its customers’ manufacturing needs.  For both REIMMANN and FERMAT, the commitment to win the trust of a customer does not end with selling him a machine, it continues throughout the commercial relationship in all levels of communication and technical support.  As Mr. Deak put it, “The sale of a machine for us never means the case is closed.”
