Last week, on Wednesday, 31st October 2018 (while everyone else was gearing up for Halloween), Ms. Stephanie Figueredo travelled to Brno to visit FERMAT’s main manufacturing and assembly plants.  Mr. Jakub Kominka, head of FERMAT’s training department, gave her the grand tour.

In addition to biking, Ms. Figueredo excels in mountain climbing.  She has stood atop some the highest snow-clad summits of the Andes and Alps, enjoying soaring, breathtaking vistas.  Such accomplishments exemplify her dogged, goal-driven attitude, a successful trait which has served her well and will continue to do so as FERMAT’s new Sales Manager for Latin America, tasked with developing a network of dealers and finding customers in this important, fast-growing segment of the world’s economy.

After her tour of the facilities in Brno, Ms. Figueredo left absolutely impressed by FERMAT’s emphasis on precision.  When asked what struck her as the most interesting or important thing she found out in Brno, she related:

Everything’s interesting, and I learned a lot about the machines and their manufacture and assembly.  But, by far the most impressive was the measuring department.  It’s amazing to see where every single piece must be measured once again before assembly.  It lengthens the manufacturing process but guarantees the complete accuracy of the final product.  I can see that FERMAT really does specialize in precision.

As to which machine she likes best, she responded, “WFT 13 R.  It’s a universal, table-type horizontal boring mill providing efficient machining of large and heavy workpieces, with high precision and fine quality of operation.  It fulfills the needs of even the most demanding customers.”  With the knowledge gained and her excellent talents and skills, Ms. Figueredo is well positioned to succeed.
